It's Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day (which is almost a week)! So I bought one of the remaining October bundles from Fabric Spark's Month Sparks fabric club to give away to one of you.
I curated this wonderful bundle and it was so fun to work with. There are fabrics there from many of my favourite designers.
I used my own set of these fabrics to make Imp, and if you like you can read more about her here. I am very proud of this quilt, she makes me smile and smile.

I think it is always great over a long break to have a Bob Fosse movie day. I like to start with Cabaret, then All that Jazz and end with Chicago. Great music and dancing. I either watch them curled up in blankets or have them playing while on a sewing marathon. The tunes just stick in my head. Enjoy your movie day and thanks for the reminder to gather my films for Fosse day!
I follow you by getting your posts in my email.

The Christmas show we watch every year is "Charlie Brown's Christmas"
What fun fabrics; these would go well with others that I'm using for my adult daughter's lap quilt! At the moment I'm reading The Girl on the Train.

I love reading your blog but I am always amazed at how much you accomplish while holding down a job and running a home. I come home from work exhaustipated evey day! Maybe it is an age thing...but our family has flown the coop and now our eldest grandchildren are off to university and I still can't keep up. Love your work!
Game of Thrones - video or books - both are great. Thanks!

My favorite Christmas movie is "Prancer". I watch it every year if I can catch it on TV. It's a sweet movie about a little girl who believes in Santa AND the reindeer, and how the power of love can heal a family.
Movie advice. ...hmmm....have you watched Gilmore girls? Have you read I am pilgrim? I'm looking forward to reading the new Harry Potter and watching the new movie....
I really enjoy following you by email, and you picked a great bundle. Orange is my absolute favorite color!
A good non-holiday related movie is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It's a great start to another facet of the world of Harry Potter. jacklynnsteven@netzero.com
What a fun collection! So lively and diverse.

Beautiful fabrics.
My Christmas movie choices are really cheesy...Holiday Inn and White Christmas and the Charlie Brown Christmas movie. Pure schmaltz!
Nothing beats White Christmas for the holidays. I don't usually work with orange but I love what you did with it.
I follow you by email and on ibstagram.
so so pretty, I love all the old Christmas movies, especially White Christmas. They always make me smile.
I have a soft spot for rewatching Love Actually and National Lampoon's Christmas vacation around the holidays. And, of course, a Charlie Brown Christmas

I've been working on an orange quilt, and I love this bundle. The oranges and neutrals play together beautifully. If you like fantasy books, the rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch is a great series.

These would really help my stash which seriously lacks pretty oranges! The quilting on your Imp is gorgeous! I always go back to the classic Christmas cartoons... Charlie Brown, The Grinch, Frosty, Rudolph...

Have you read Gone Girl?
It's so hard to recommend books without knowing what somebody else likes! I recently finished the Phyrne Fisher mystery series and enjoyed it, and a nonfiction book I really enjoyed recently is Stoned: Jewelry, Obsession, and How Desire Shapes the World. I have read a truly ridiculous amount of books this year (150!) but so many of them are either fantasy/scifi or romance and those can be hard to recommend. Thanks for the giveaway!

If you like foreign films and a bit of mystery and music, rent DIVA, a french movie from the '70s. I try to get the subtitled movie rather than the dubbed too. It's a great story, fabulous acting, a bit of a who-dunnit mystery and some gorgeous opera music.

I've been wanting to watch the Harry Potter series
You have to watch It's a Wonderful Life, it is a must at my house every year. I read "The Nightingale" by Krisin Hannah this year and it has been my favorite book this year.

I enjoy watching so many of the Holiday movies it is hard to choose a favorite. I was different ones at different times of the season. I really like National Lampoons Christmas Vacation when I need a laugh. 'The Ref' for keeping family dysfunction real. And on occasion I have been known to finish my Christmas wrapping and watch 'Die Hard'. I have followed you on instagram and thru bloglovin.
What a great bundle and great quilt! Always love seeing the Grinch again! Thank you!
I just watched the movie Wall-E last night. It really makes you think of consumerism and its effect on our planet. Not necessarily a Christmas movie but thought provoking.

It's not holiday but I am currently reading Queen of the Night and watching Outlander and thoroughly enjoying both!
Hmm...I don't really do holiday movies. I really like A Christmas Story and Elf, but that's about all I got.

Absolute favorite Christmas movie has to be It's A Wonderful Life. Have to watch it every year. Love the bundle, would be extatic if I were to get it.
We always end up watching Die Hard, Love Actually, and maybe Its a wonderful life. As for books, I find a selection of new books at the library (we have a fantastic city library) and add some Booker Prize finalists to the mix. I also try and get a new quilting book wrapped up and under the tree, but haven't done that so far this year. Just so I can sit and dream. Thanks for the giveaway, have agreat2017. Happy holidays to you and your family

What a fun bundle!! Love the color choice. I'll suggest a very non-traditional holiday movie - While You Were Sleeping! It takes place the week between Christmas and New Years and is all about family relationships.
Even though our children are now 28 and 31, our whole family still gets together to watch "The Muppet's Christmas Carol. I definitely recommend it.

Love the bundle. I've been reading mystery novels and thrillers, although with the thrillers sometimes I skip ahead to the end because I can't stand the suspense.
Well I have been enjoying the love story in The Crown. I am usually an action movie person with things blowing up in the background. I like the Mission Impossible series and the Jason Bourne series.

Fun bundle of fabrics. I would recomend a classic - To Kill A Mockingbird , a recent re-read for me. Thanks for the chance to win.
I've got a stack of reading to get through over the holidays - can't recommend any of them, as I haven't read them yet! I am a big Harry Potter fan though, or Tigana, if you haven't read them. :)
"Remember the Night" is a great, kind of obscure holiday movie starring Barbara Stanwyck and Fred McMurray. I'd recommend "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" to read. This novel takes place on a lesser known channel island shortly after WW2. Lovely story and characters!
My daughter's color scheme! she loves this color set. I have not really watched much tv this holiday season, but I like to watch the cartoon ones! just fun and happy.....

My favorite book of late was "The Map of Lost Memories" by Kim Fay. It takes place in the 1920's in China & Cambodia & I couldn't wait to pick it up each time & transport myself into the past. Loved it.
I also just finished "The Obsidian Chamber" by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child. If you haven't read any of the Pendergast novels by all means try them. Lots of fun.
Enjoy!

I found you on Bloglovin and this is the first time I have been to your blog and I am going to sign up to follow you on email because your blog seems very interesting. I always watch Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase,It's a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart and I just love to record all of the Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel which start on Thanksgiving day and pretty much play round the clock until Christmas. That's a lot of Christmas movies and it takes me several months to see all of them but it keeps me in the Christmas spirit for a long time to come. Such a wonderful feeling!

Love those oranges. And I've been loving the last of the Clifton Chronicles (by Jeffrey Archer). Or, if you haven't encountered these yet, you could fill in a big chunk of the holidays binging on the full series. :)
I tend to only read young adult books as I am a children's librarian so I am not much help unless you like these sort of books, in which case I would recommend reading Neil Gaimann, Chris Riddell and Lauren Child's Ruby Redfort series.
I am currently reading the Riviera Set. A fabulous history of a house on the French Riviera and the jet setters who lived in it
I'm really enjoying the Outlander books right now!
This really is a wonderful bundle! I love October AND Orange! I am afraid I don't really have a recommendation for you in either the book or movie dept....I am such a creature of habit...any book by Wendell Berry, and George of the Jungle or Get Smart, LoL! Thank you for this uber giveaway!!

Let's see. I would recommend the movie called "Home Alone". It is very funny and sometimes laughter is needed most at this time of the year. As for books, any book by Danielle Steel.
