The baby robins are flourishing
There is the nest with all four babies yesterday afternoon (babies are about 1 week old).
That photo is from yesterday too. The babies stick their heads out, maybe it is toasty warm in that nest.
I am away again, that one is just just a few minutes ago, from my teenage photo correspondent. He says that the mom swooped him within 10 seconds of him coming out to take the photo. She is away from the nest longer, but never far away.
That one is another one by the teenage correspondent, this morning through the glass.
In case you missed the story, or want a recap, here are some of the progress shots so far in the last week.
I wonder how soon they will start flying?
Best,
Leanne
It is so much fun to follow the progress of these sweet little creatures. Thanks for the photo recap.
ReplyDeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteThey should leave the nest 14 days from the day the first one hatched. All will leave within an hour of each other. If they are on the ground do not put them back in the nest just keep cats away. Mama will continue to take care of them and if they survive you should see mama and babies in the trees and shrubs taking care of them. Fun, fun, fun!! :)
ReplyDeleteSo....have you named them yet???
ReplyDeleteIt's been such an adventure! Let's hope they continue to thrive, under you and your family's watchful eye(s)!!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this! Thank you :-D
ReplyDeleteI'm so enjoying all these updates on your robins. The Mummy robin looks different from the robins we have here in the UK. I have a very inquisitive robin living in my garden who follows me around when I'm digging hoping for worms.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your teenage photographer, he is doing a fantastic job!
Thanks to the teen photo correspondent for the brilliant photos. Di x

ReplyDeleteI think she suspects the teenage correspondent is up to something lol if only she knew he was the paparazzi, he might never get out of the house...
