I guess it is a good nest
Yikes, more eggs. The internet was wrong. Apparently this Robin is back to her same nest with her next family.
I have again moved the mailbox to protect the letter carrier from any unpleasant swooping. My guy has been talking with the robin about the fact that he plans to use his front door, thank you very much, and so far she is letting him.
After a long time on the road, I am back home now for a week until the wedding. I promise there will be sewing tomorrow to see, I have bee blocks that are behind, and finishes to finish for the Finish-A-Long.
Best,
Leanne
Happy day! I'm glad you have worked out an agreement with her.
ReplyDeleteThat's great! My bluebirds haven't fledged yet, but I suspect they will be gone by next week. I'm hoping for another nest too. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI love following this story. Indeed it must be a great nest.
ReplyDeleteThis is so exciting. She must be quite a busy girl.
ReplyDeleteSuch exciting news Leanne! I had no idea Robins would use the old next again so soon to have another family!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your free time sewing!!
oh my gosh!! I couldn't believe my eyes! What a spring adventure! Welcome home!
ReplyDeleteCrikey! It really is a good nest! Who is getting married? Jxo
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Can't wait to see pictures of the new babies!
ReplyDeleteAww, how marvellous - we get to see it all over again!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that it is good to be home. That robin must think that you have a good home too! Di x
ReplyDeleteOh, that's so lovely, you obviously have a prime bit of birdie real estate there!
ReplyDeleteRxx
blimey! That's amazing!
ReplyDeleteYay! My imagination is going wild thinking about what is going on inside those eggs. Does this make you a grandmother?
ReplyDeleteYippee! I love it! Can't wait to watch these cuties too! I hope you're holding up well with all of this work/travel and the wedding coming. Remember to enjoy this too!
ReplyDeleteThey are at it like rabbits!! Beautiful shot of the eggs :)
ReplyDeleteWe had a nest in the corner of the porch that three different 'families' used last year! When it's a good nest, it's a GOOD nest!!! Thanks so much for sharing your baby birds. I enjoyed seeing their progress.
ReplyDeleteHoly moly! The last thing I would do if I had just got shut of the kids would be to have another brood! Although perhaps if they only hung around for a fortnight instead of 20 years I might be more inclined to have more. Looking forward to more robin photos x
ReplyDeleteOh yeah...we get to watch another nest of babies.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! That;s all I've got to say!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is very unusual for Robins to reuse a nest. My little robin that came the last 3 years nested away from the house this year so I didn't get to see her babies. :( But I enjoyed watching yours and will once again. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous that the robing is back again. Hope your front door remains yours! Marie (mlismore@optusnet.com.au)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy every second if the wedding. It will go by so fast.
ReplyDeleteIt's a kind of yay and boo for the eggs, but it wont be long til they're gone again. :o)
ReplyDeleteYou need to start charging rent!!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home and I hope you can stay for a while and play on the sewing machine. Two nests? Wow, I sure didn't anticipate that one!
ReplyDeleteSeconds out, round 2!
