Farewell to January
In January I made some bee blocks, a Triple-Zip Pouch and some lovely travelling bags for my quilts that have now arrived in Texas.
It seemed like I was sewing more than that and when I checked I had been. I worked on a swap item that I cannot show you until mid February, and I worked on my 4 in Art quilt which I will show you tomorrow, which is the challenge reveal day.
I quilted and quilted and quilted my Mod Pop and made its binding. I should be able to trim this king size quilt and sew on the binding over the weekend.
I also quilted my scrappy trip along quilt. I expect I can make it a scrappy binding, trim the quilt and sew on the binding soon too. So I will, hopefully, have two finished quilts to show you in February, both of which are on my Finish-A-Long list.
Thank you to everyone for the kind words about my dog. He is finally coming home this afternoon. He likes to sleep beside me while I sew and although he is clearly on the mend, he has a ways to go before he will be fully better. I expect that I will have to sew a lot so he can sleep a lot this weekend. Right?
Tomorrow I will link up with Fresh Sewing Day, hosted by the lovely Lynne at Lily's Quilts and when I am not sewing on the weekend, I will be checking out all the beautiful things everyone else made in January. You should link and visit too.
Best,
Leanne

Ahhh, such beautiful colourful projects. Perfect for this time of the year.
Such gorgeous blocks. And your Scrappy Tripalong quilt is fabulous. You had a pretty good month!
As always I am in awe. And love that you snuck my Feb bee blocks in to Jan.
Definitely lots of sewing to aid canine recuperation. I'm quite sure the vet would insist upon it. (Sound convincing? )
Love all your makes! ! I can't believe the mod pop is king size! You fabulous nutter, you...
So happy to hear your sweet dog is on the mend Leanne and wishing him a speedy recuperation while you sew. Your makes are of course beautiful and you are inspiring me to try Debbie's triple pouch.
That is a lot of sewing accomplished and I love your Mod Pop quilt more every time you show it. Di x
Yep, the dog is definitely telling you you need to sew, glad he's on his way home so you can stitch up a storm for February to match January's awesomeness :o)
I totally missed your last post about your dog. I'm really glad he's getting back home and think the sewing plan is definitely the best road to full recovery, as long as you give him a wee stroke at every bobbin change/ pause in rotary cutting/ step back to admire, etc. moment ;)
Beautiful makes in January!especially love that zippy pouch!
I can't quite believe that January is finished. Oye I need to make up for lost time. :) Your scrappy trip is wonderful!
What an impressive list of accomplishments! Give yourself a pat on the back.
Wow, lots of gorgeous sewing for you in January! Isn't pet companionship while you're sewing the best? Glad to hear your dog is on the mend :-)
SOmetimes we seem to sit at the machine and have few finishes to show for it! But that's okay... Looking forward to seeing your 4 in Art quilt for this round!
All those colors are Gorgeous. And the scrappy quilt is the champion!!
Really fabulous work as always Leanne, and yes, lots of sewing with poochie by your side! Glad he's home :-)
The orange, red and pink really do POP: love it.
The scrappy trip is great too.
Love those Chicopee blocks too!
Is there anything I dislike: NOthing
Lovely mosaic and your trip-a-long is just gorgeous :)
