Welcome to Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day. I am giving away this 241 Tote, which I made from the pattern by Anna Graham at Noodlehead. It is made from Amy Butler fabrics that were in my stash.
The inside features a large pocket and a snap closure. I had a lot of fun making this tote and I recommend the pattern.
My name is Leanne and welcome to my blog. I hope you might take a minute to look around at the quilting projects that I share here. You do not need to follow this blog to enter the contest, but if you like what you see, I would love you to follow along.
It could be hanging on your door handle. If you would like to enter to win this tote you need to leave me a comment on this post. Only one comment per person, please (I will remove extra ones). I plan to relax a lot over the holidays, so please recommend a book or a movie to enjoy while sitting by the fire.
I will draw a random winner after 6 pm on Friday December 16, 2011. If you have not attached an email to your profile, please leave it in the comment. If there is no way to contact you, I will draw again immediately. I am happy to ship anywhere in the world from my home in Canada.
Edited to add: Already I have a bunch of "no-reply" comments. Please add your email to your comment if you are not certain your email address is attached to your profile. If I cannot reach you and you are the winner, I will draw again.
I am also giving away some fabric - Echo by Lotta Jansdotter, so if you have not entered that contest, please click here to do that now. And click the button to go back to Sew Mama Sew so you can enter the rest of the give aways.
Thank you everyone, this giveaway is now closed. The winner is Debra!

This bag is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks so very much for a chance to win it. I have been reading a few books by Marie Bostwick and really enjoying them. Easy reading but very enjoyable. Next I'm reading something a little heavier, Stephen King's new novel "11/22/63"...about a man who goes back in time to try to prevent the JFK assassination. Thanks again!
That is a super cute bag thanks for the chance to win.

violet_bg1(at)yahoo(dot)co(dot)uk
I love this tote & I love the fabrics you've chosen for it. If I don't win, I may have to make it myself. I am a follower. I would redcommend Outlander by Diana Gabaldon-if you haven't read this you would be in for a treat and be-come a rabid Jamie Fraser fanatic like the rest of her fans. Or Into the Wilderness by Sara Donati.
The tote is beautiful! Thank you for the giveaway. :)
I would suggest the BBC version of Pride & Prejudice or the Jane Austen book format if you prefer. ;) Lovely stuff!
I forgot to tell you my movie recommendation! If you would like to watch something Christmassy, family friendly, and with a bit of nostalgia try "Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas". :) It's a Jim Henson movie from the late 70's and it's on Netflix now.
The orange and blue prints together are so lovely! What a gorgeous bag. :) Thank you for the chance to win!
What a cute bag! I'd recommend The Accidental Sorcerer by K.E.Miller. It's really funny!

As to the movie - nothing is better then the good old black and white Agatha Christie ones
I would recommend reading anything from Jane Austin. As a family we have read them all and even my hubby enjoyed them. The bag is beautiful. Thank you for a sweet giveaway!
Love the bag, just beautiful. Over Christmas break, we always need to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks and the Grinch who Stole Christmas. Let alone Christmas Story. Once we're done with Christmas movies, I'm ready to watch the Help finally.
Peace Like a River by Leif Enger
I've been admiring Anna's pattern for a while, and I love the fabrics you chose. I recommend "The Nativity Story" for a non-cheesy, realistic movie about the birth of Jesus.
addyforrest(at)gmail(dot)com

The bag is lovely. The color choices are perfect! I really enjoy the sunny colors on the inside, it's like a little surprise when you open the bag!
I hope you're watching 'The Bishop's Wife' with Cary Grant and Loretta Young. I never miss it during the holidays.
I've been reading Elinor Lipman novels (fun, easy reads, with a twist or surprise in each one) and Margaret Maron (southern writer, mysterys - great, not gory)

This is such a cute bag! I love An Old Fashioned Girl by Louisa May Alcott. It's a good relaxing and cozy read. :)
I love your fabric selection for this bag. I am so infatuated with Orange right now, so I doubly love it! Movies are so hard to pick, but if you are in a historical mood I really like Kingdom of Heaven with Orlando Bloom. If you can get the director's cut, it is much better!
Have a great holiday from one Canadian to another! (I'm in Ottawa)

What a beautiful bag! One of my favorites is called Lost in a Good Book by Jasper Fforde. It's a lot of silliness but I love it.
The tote is very cool! If Digital Expressions by Susan Tuttle doesn't fit perhaps a smaller book from the Borrowers series by Mary Norton for young (at heart) dreamers.
I love to watch Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer! sewvery(at)gmail(dot)com
I love the fabrics you chose for this!

Leanne, you made that bag for me right? LOL I love it!
Good luck to us all!
The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley, or Glenn Beck's The Christmas Sweater. Both good reads. The first book is pretty quirky.
Are you on Goodreads?
Another lovely blog and giveaway.
What would I recommend over the holiday period to watch... well I just re-watched 'The Blind Side' a couple of days ago such a heart-warming true story with Sandra Bullock if you haven't see it. Lovely.
email: magichappensxx AT gmail.com
I'm completely into Ms. Marple mysteries by Agatha Christie. I found out that Marple is in a classification of mystery novels called "cozies." From there I found Victoria Trumbull a woman in her 80s solving mysteries on Martha's Vineyard. I have no idea why I love these books so much, but there are a ton of them. Having a series to read is so great. Also Netflix has Marple on DVD and I love those too. Very cozy and nice to knit or craft or wrap gifts quietly whilst watching.
What a wonderful tote!
On Christmastime I like to watch the movie: "The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jack Black.
Enjoy your days,
Silke

I've been told I have terrible taste in books:) But I love pretty much any fictionalization of the British monarchy...I mean, really, American soap operas have nothing on Henry VIII:) Phillipa Gregory is a great place to start.
beckymac1 at hotmail dot com
I love watching the Christmas movies on TV, so very relaxing. As far as reading, the Room by Emma Donaghue.
The Princess Bride--book or movie. Although I love the book, I can't love it nearly as much as the movie with its brilliant cast.

It would be exciting to have that bag hang on my doorknob. My doorknob is embarrassingly naked right now. I really like the film A Room With a View. Lovely Merchant/Ivory film from the 80's. Set in England and Italy. Top actors in it. It's not a fast crazy film, but I could watch it over and over.

I really like this 241 tote. Would love to win it.
I love seeing the move sound of music at christmas.
Gorgeous bag! Thanks for a great giveaway!
If you like mysteries, I've been enjoying Louise Penny. It's a series that takes place in a small village in Quebec. Slightly cozy-ish, but also really well-written.
Beautiful bag!
To read - I loved The Time Travelers Wife.
To watch - Pride and Prejudice BBC version with Colin Firth
Have a lovely holiday.
Thank you for a lovely giveaway! As far as movies, I like more classics, Miracle on 34th Street, It's a wonderful Life, etc. For non holiday "You can't take it with You", again an older movie is great, and my friend just brought over one of Audrey Hepburn's first movies...oh I can't remember the title, but she was a princess who leaves and has a day in the "real" world. Very good. Enjoy your time.
I recently watched Something Borrowed and loved it. It is the perfect chill out movie.

I absolutely love tote bags...especially when they have lots of pockets! As for a good book, I recently read "When She Woke". Takes place a few years in the future where law breakers have their skin color coordinated to the severity of their crime. I really liked it!
