Would you like a 241 Tote? Giveaway Day begins.

241 Tote

Welcome to Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day. I am giving away this 241 Tote, which I made from the pattern by Anna Graham at Noodlehead. It is made from Amy Butler fabrics that were in my stash.

241 Tote

The inside features a large pocket and a snap closure. I had a lot of fun making this tote and I recommend the pattern.

241 Tote

My name is Leanne and welcome to my blog. I hope you might take a minute to look around at the quilting projects that I share here. You do not need to follow this blog to enter the contest, but if you like what you see, I would love you to follow along.

241 Tote

It could be hanging on your door handle. If you would like to enter to win this tote you need to leave me a comment on this post. Only one comment per person, please (I will remove extra ones). I plan to relax a lot over the holidays, so please recommend a book or a movie to enjoy while sitting by the fire.

I will draw a random winner after 6 pm on Friday December 16, 2011. If you have not attached an email to your profile, please leave it in the comment. If there is no way to contact you, I will draw again immediately. I am happy to ship anywhere in the world from my home in Canada.

Edited to add: Already I have a bunch of "no-reply" comments. Please add your email to your comment if you are not certain your email address is attached to your profile. If I cannot reach you and you are the winner, I will draw again.

I am also giving away some fabric - Echo by Lotta Jansdotter, so if you have not entered that contest, please click here to do that now. And click the button to go back to Sew Mama Sew so you can enter the rest of the give aways.

Thank you everyone, this giveaway is now closed. The winner is Debra

Enjoy the contest hopping!

Best,

Leanne

Next I'm reading something a little heavier, Stephen King's new novel "11/22/63"...about a man who goes back in time to try to prevent the JFK assassination. Thanks again!

I love this tote & I love the fabrics you've chosen for it. If I don't win, I may have to make it myself. I am a follower. I would redcommend Outlander by Diana Gabaldon-if you haven't read this you would be in for a treat and be-come a rabid Jamie Fraser fanatic like the rest of her fans. Or Into the Wilderness by Sara Donati.

Anne said...

The tote is beautiful! Thank you for the giveaway. :)

I would suggest the BBC version of Pride & Prejudice or the Jane Austen book format if you prefer. ;) Lovely stuff!

Jenelle said...

I forgot to tell you my movie recommendation! If you would like to watch something Christmassy, family friendly, and with a bit of nostalgia try "Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas". :) It's a Jim Henson movie from the late 70's and it's on Netflix now.

The orange and blue prints together are so lovely! What a gorgeous bag. :) Thank you for the chance to win!

I hope you're watching 'The Bishop's Wife' with Cary Grant and Loretta Young. I never miss it during the holidays.
I've been reading Elinor Lipman novels (fun, easy reads, with a twist or surprise in each one) and Margaret Maron (southern writer, mysterys - great, not gory)

I'm completely into Ms. Marple mysteries by Agatha Christie. I found out that Marple is in a classification of mystery novels called "cozies." From there I found Victoria Trumbull a woman in her 80s solving mysteries on Martha's Vineyard. I have no idea why I love these books so much, but there are a ton of them. Having a series to read is so great. Also Netflix has Marple on DVD and I love those too. Very cozy and nice to knit or craft or wrap gifts quietly whilst watching.

I can't recommend Super 8 enough. If anything ever came close to capturing the same concepts as E.T., it's this movie.
Have a great vacation!

So pretty, I love the fabric!
For some mindless holiday reading, I really enjoy the Hannah Swenson mysteries. Lots of yummy cookie and cupcake recipes included, too!

Lovely lovely bag!

If you've got the time over the holidays, I love watching whole TV series or movie trilogies at a time. Something fun? I love watching Arrested Development from the beginning. Prefer movies? I feel like winter is the best time for re-watching the Lord of the Rings.

Love your choice of fabrics for Anna's bag pattern. My fave book from lately is The Host by Stephanie Meyer of Twilight fame. It's such a great story.

Any of the Inspector Gramache mysteries by Louise Penny. They're set in a small village in Quebec, and most of them take place in winter--the season is almost like another character.

I love the fabrics you've used in the fabric. It worked up amazingly.

hmmm. Movies and books...

I like watching Die Hard 2 at Christmas. :) This year I'm planning on doing a lot of sewing to Torchwood. Though I'm currently hooked on the book And the Shofar Blew so it might wait a little bit.

What a lovely bag! As for book recommendations...I have been reading Micheal Connelly's mysteries and they are so well written and engaging. If you can start at the beginning, they are serial, though you don't need to read them in order, but it is more enjoyable that way.

Thank you for a lovely giveaway! As far as movies, I like more classics, Miracle on 34th Street, It's a wonderful Life, etc. For non holiday "You can't take it with You", again an older movie is great, and my friend just brought over one of Audrey Hepburn's first movies...oh I can't remember the title, but she was a princess who leaves and has a day in the "real" world. Very good. Enjoy your time.

I absolutely love tote bags...especially when they have lots of pockets! As for a good book, I recently read "When She Woke". Takes place a few years in the future where law breakers have their skin color coordinated to the severity of their crime. I really liked it!
