It's the second Tuesday of the month, and time for the Scraptastic Tuesday link up hosted by Nicky - Mrs. Sew and Sow and me.
As I've shared here before, my family has been moving house and it has been taking a fairly long time to get unpacked. We have a lot of boxes of books and doo dads, and I have a lot of bits and bobs relating to quilting and other crafty things to unpack and put away. And it has been silly hot, and the heat wave continues this week.
But, I did manage to sit down tonight and sew with my blue/aqua scrap box. It was so nice, after weeks of no sewing, to just play with the fabrics and make some blobs, or you may even see flowers.
I know two blobs is not much scrappy sewing and is only a tiny step towards using up my scrap mountain, but still, it was fun. I will add these to the blobs I have already made, once I find the box they are packed in.
This little bit of sewing did help me to figure out what I need to change to my current sewing machine set up to make it a bit more comfortable, so hopefully I can do that in the morning. I have found the scrap boxes and they are quite full, so I need a good place to be sewing with them.
There are still a lot of boxes to unpack around my house - but I am really tired of unpacking too. So my current avoidance strategy has been to try to catch up with quilting internet reading. I am hoping that there will be many people linking up to the August Scraptastic Tuesday link up as I plan to check out each of the links on my rest breaks this week - I am looking to all the inspiration you can share.
Now, its time for you to link up and share your scrappy projects to inspire us all.

Blobs look like fun! My last move was over 25 years ago but I still remember the moving pains. Good thing those scrap boxes were uncovered!

Unpacking is the pits! Hopefully you can feel settled in soon!
I think your blob turned out really neat!
I moved to a new school this year and just unpacked my office yesterday. I cannot imagine the thought of unpacking a whole house in this weather. Mega-yuck!

Moving? What's that??? LOL!
I find that after I've had a long period of time where I've not been able to sew, that once I am finally able to get back to it, that I have much more inspiration and ideas than if I had been sewing every day. Even though sewing and creating is a release and often a way to relax, sometimes a "forced break" can be just the thing. Enjoy your new sewing space!
Well, I've written about your "blobs" before, and not with admiration. (lol)
I think the name says it all.
The only salvation I can see--square them up and make then squares or rectangles.
Regards, from blob-free Sandra
Love the scrappy 'blobs', here's hoping that the unpacking is over soon.
Your blobs are lovely. I am in desperate need of whittling down my scrap mountain too, so perhaps I'll try to have something put together for the September link up. Best of luck with the rest of the unpacking (my least favorite part of moving house!!)
I'm sorry the unpacking is a pain. But I'm glad you have a sewing set up, already!!!
XX!
HI, Thanks for the 'Scrappiness'!

First time linking up Leanne, but I did it! The first thing I've done in a while that was totally from scraps and good use of them too!
Hope the unpacking is going well!
